Symmetry

During the topic symmetry children built symmetrical patterns using wooden shapes and counters.

Lego Story Starters

Children build a story with blocks. Then they write sentences about what they had built. Lego Story Starters strengthens literacy skills improving writing, language, and reading abilities. It also strengthens comprehension skills and enables students to compose new stories or analyze existing ones;Enhances communication skills, including speaking, listening, and presentation capabilities;Improves collaboration skills and enhances students’ ability to work in teams

For today’s lesson children had to build something that had to do with Sunday. Some built a picnic scene, others they go to a museum, by the beach, go to church etc. Look at the photos.

Multicultural Day

On Monday 23rd  April, our school celebrated Multicultural Day. Our class prepared an item about Malta.

Division

Division means sharing.  So if we have 12 sweets and we have to share them between 3 children we write it as 12÷3=      We worked out some division sums using counters, sweets and blocks.
